What will the future look like [ from my blog's perspective ;-) ]

After many years in the IT career (not as many as some of the guys i've learned a lot from), I collected a bunch of "tips & advices", best practices, how-to's, cookbooks and whatsoever you can imagine.

Being a advocate for the open source community and a supporter of sharing knowledge, i've decide to dust off the spider webs from my old blog (geek corp) and changed the name so I would have a fresh start this time (although the URL remains the same).

Concerning language, I will be writing in both portuguese and english. The idea is that there are lot of topics in english already (i know, international language, most part of the world can at least read english, etc), and I know the brazilian IT community lacks documents talking about some topics. So, be nice with me and if you like one topic which is not written in portuguese (or english) just let me know and i'll translate it for you. I'll try to keep this blog as much updated and with posts in both languages as my day job allows me. (a.k.a., as long as i'm not travelling 24hx7d).

In the next posts you may expect to see (one or many or all of these topics below and more!):
- Systems Management
- High Performance Computing
- Managing clusters and virtual machines
- Gentoo administration and scripts
- Best practices for IBM products (after all i'm an IT consultant for the Big Blue)
- Cloud Computing and virtualization (again)
- Windows Server administration (couldn't leave it off the board, could i?)
- Bash scripts
- Message Passage Interface (MPI), compilers and libraries for the HPC world

And any topic you may suggest that I may have experience or knowledge of (after all, you're the ones reading these articles).

In the end, that will be a good repository of 'how-to's', 'cookbooks', 'hacks' and so on for my friends, colleagues, and anyone interested in the matters here discussed.

Let it rock, let it roll...
